Golden Gourmet Gardens Tour
Tailor-made for seniors (and anyone else who loves gardens and flat, scenic strolls), this trip combines great friends, food and gardens, all at an easy pace. (Schedule your trip during peak garden season!) Bring along lunch from Blue Wind Gourmet in Lexington Park and begin at Greenwell State Park, where wide (wheelchair-accessible) paths meander along the shoreline and picnic tables overlook the rose garden. Sotterley Plantation is right next door, with its own gardens and spectacular views of the water. End up at Summerseat Farm and Sanctuary (reserve in advance) to complete the garden gambit, then on to a gourmet dinner at The Front Porch in Leonardtown.
